The OISE Library includes a variety of open study spaces as well as locked individual and group study rooms to accommodate the various study needs of our library users.
Everyone is welcome to use the open study spaces and carrels on all floors of the library. The newly renovated Mezzanine Level includes 8 single spaces along a tall counter and 10 single study carrels that do not require keys / bookings.
Locked study rooms on the Concourse and Mezzanine levels can be booked as follows:
Concourse Level study rooms
Our four Concourse Level study rooms are available to all members of the University of Toronto community (including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and visiting scholars). These study rooms are available to:
- Groups of 3 – 6 people
- Groups of 2 will be permitted to use available rooms provided that they vacate if a group of 3 or more requests use of the room
Mezzanine Level study rooms
Individual, double, and group study rooms on the Mezzanine Level are available to members of the OISE community including current OISE / CTEP students, staff, faculty, and alumni who have purchased the OISE Alumni Reader library card.
If you are currently enrolled in a Certificate Program at OISE or an English Language Continuing Education program based at OISE, you must provide documentation such as your temporary library card, a letter of enrollment, or a letter of employment for the current semester.
