Requesting library materials
Library materials which can be checked out will be shipped by courier to students and instructors residing outside of the GTA.
Photocopies may be requested of portions of reference books and print journals – you will be advised of any copyright restrictions.

Initial teacher education students: 1 month
Graduate students and faculty: 1 month for Curriculum Resource books; 8 weeks for all other books
Audiovisual materials
2 weeks, all borrowers
Costs
The Library will pay the cost of shipping books and AV materials to distance education students and instructors by Purolator. Borrowers are responsible for paying for the return shipment of books and AV materials by courier.
Photocopies will be supplied at a cost of 15 cents per page. A shipping fee of $5 will be applied.
Overdue fines
Please allow sufficient time for shipment when returning library materials. If materials are received after the due date, overdue fines will be applied. Please see the Circulation page for additional information about overdue fines.
Interlibrary loans
It is possible to place an interlibrary loan (RACER) request for materials that are not owned by the University of Toronto Libraries. As delivery of these items can take several weeks, we cannot guarantee that materials will arrive in time for you to use.
