Margo Sandor Children's Literature Collection (CLC)

Collection overview

The Margo Sandor Children’s Literature Collection (CLC) contains approximately 7,000 items, from big books and picture books to short story collections, poetry, fairy tales and folk tales, myths and legends, graphic novels, biographies and autobiographies, and novels for young adults.  Many of the books in the collection are award winners; most are written in English, and there are also some French and dual language books.

The CLC is supported by a generous donation made by Peter Sandor in 1997. Peter and his wife Margo immigrated to Canada in 1957 and Peter’s donation is in memory of Margo, who was a children’s librarian. The gift and the collection continue to enrich the OISE Library and provide an important and inspiring resource for students and OISE teacher candidates in particular.
