The OISE Library is physically closed but we are here to help with your online teaching, learning and research:
Students | Instructors | Researchers
The OISE Library team is working online to continue to provide support for your research, teaching, and learning. While libraries across campus are physically closed, many of our resources and services remain accessible. This page will provide updates about how to access library resources and services remotely during the closure. Please follow the University of Toronto website for further updates to COVID-19 measures. The University of Toronto Libraries system will also be providing Updates on Library Services and Operations across campus.
Print materials
Curbside pickup is now available for many print items from the OISE Library collections.
Your library account
There is no need to return your books at this time. All loans will be extended and no late fines charged. We understand that managing your library account is not top-of-mind during these challenging times and we're here to help out. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Lyly Chung.

Support for instructors
OISE librarians are well positioned to support your online courses. We can:
- Deliver virtual workshops on library research skills, including database searching and citation management;
- Embed in Pepper or Quercus courses by designing library learning modules and assessment tools;
- Create online learning objects, such as LibGuides, tutorial videos, and resource lists, to support course content;
- Point you to online video resources available for educational use and as licensed streaming content; and
- Offer reference support via virtual drop-in hours and / or discussion board moderation.
The University of Toronto Libraries Syllabus Service continues to support course reading lists. OISE is also fortunate to have its own team of experts in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning supporting Teaching & Learning Online. If you’d like to discuss options for integrating library support into your remote classroom, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any point before or during the semester.
