The Reference and Research Services team at the OISE Library supports the work of researchers, students, and teams at OISE and across the University. Our goal is to ensure you have access to the resources, tools, and services you need for your work. We can help with things like: strategic literature searches, open access, citation management, understanding the scholarly publications landscape, and more! We are also liaisons who can connect you with University of Toronto librarians and other support services whose expertise matches your research needs.

Drop-in Research Support on Zoom

The OISE Library team hosts daily drop-in Zoom reference hours to help with questions about library services and resources, research tools, literature reviews, or anything else. Please drop in to speak face-to-face with one of our librarians or graduate student assistants!

  • Connect to the Zoom meeting room: OISE Library Zoom
  • Zoom drop-in hours (Winter 2024): Monday - Friday 11 am - 2 pm (beginning on January 8th, 2024)

Book a Research Consultation

OISE librarians offer one-on-one and small group consultations for University of Toronto student, faculty, and staff. Research consultations are intended for in-depth research assistance including designing a literature search strategy or getting started on a knowledge synthesis project. Librarians are typically available Monday-Friday between 9 am and 5pm in the Eastern Time zone.

You may book one active appointment at a time, and book up to three per semester. We do not allow back-to-back appointment bookings as we feel you should have time to reflect on the appointment, implement your search strategy, prior to booking you next appointment with a librarian.

If you need support in the interim, you are always welcome drop into the Zoom reference desk for library support (see link above).
